Randy Donauer

About Randy

Randy was first elected to Saskatoon City Council in 2010 and has served three terms. During his time on Council he has worked hard to control spending, and he has voted against tax increases over 40 times. He has been involved with a variety of committees, most recently representing the City of Saskatoon on the Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners. Randy has also provided wise leadership on SUMA’s Board of Directors, and the Regional Oversight Committee of Planning For Growth (P4G) – both of which involve partnering with Saskatoon’s neighbouring rural municipalities on behalf of the City.

In 2012, Randy completed the Professional Director Program (Pro. Dir.) with the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, in conjunction with the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan.

Previously in 2009, he was appointed by the Minister of Health to sit on the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority Board where he enjoyed the challenges and teamwork prior to joining Council.

Randy and Lauren have lived in Saskatoon most of their lives. They raised their family in Silverwood Heights and continue to live in this ward. Happily married, with 3 sons, and now two daughters and two grandchildren, family is important to Randy. He is a seasoned leader and is honoured to serve the citizens of Saskatoon in any capacity that he can, believing that Saskatoon is the best city in Canada.
