ABOUT RANDY
Randy grew up in Estevan, SK. He attended the University of Saskatchewan, worked for the federal department of Citizenship and Immigration for 11 years, and was the Supervisor of the Saskatoon Office. He was the administrator of a community church, and currently runs a small business and serves on City Council in Saskatoon.
Randy was first elected to Saskatoon City Council in 2010 and is currently serving his third term. During his time on Council he has worked hard to control spending, and has voted against tax increases over 40 times. He sits on a variety of committees and represents the City of Saskatoon on SUMA Board of Directors and the Regional Oversight Committee of Planning For Growth.
In 2012 Randy completed the Professional Director Certification Program (Pro. Dir) with the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, in conjunction with the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan.
Randy and his wife, Lauren, moved to Saskatoon the day after they were married in 1989, and have been living here ever since. They have three adult sons who also call Saskatoon home. Randy is a seasoned leader and he is honoured to serve the citizens of Saskatoon in any capacity that he can, as he believes this is the greatest city in Canada.
